Mando & Banjo Week features two instruments that are fundamental to acoustic music, taught by a world-class faculty. Mandolin students can study bluegrass, old-time, improvisation, swing/jazz, classical, and more, while banjo students can study both three-
fingerbluegrass and clawhammer styles. There is also instruction
in guitar, and the program runs simultaneously with Fiddle

Week, allowing students in both programs to learn and play together. Evening concerts throughout the week feature our inspiring staff, and a showcase on Friday offers a student performance opportunity.
Mandolin instructors will include David Benedict, Alan Bibey, Matt Flinner, Sharon Gilchrist, Caterina Lichtenberg (classical), Mike Marshall, John Reischman, Don Stiernberg (jazz and swing), and Hayes Griffin (mandolin and guitar). Bill Evans and Eli Gilbert will teach bluegrass banjo, while Laura Boosinger and Lukas Pool will offer classes in old-time banjo. In addition, on-site repairs will be available once again from expert luthier Lynn Dudenbostel.
